Claim Denied
Insurance companies seem to be banking on people not knowing what should be covered. Their bottom dollar is improved when people just accept that the claim was denied. Sometimes all it takes is a simple phone call and you will hear something like this:
"All our claims are processed by the computer."
The computer is the scapegoat?
"That should have been covered. I will resubmit it for processing."
If I had not called it would have cost me about $300 just this year alone. It's only February. I can only imagine how much the insurance company has saved by people not calling. Sometimes it is not as simple as making a call. Vigilance and perseverance are required to get the claims approved.
