passing the torch
There comes a time when you have to let children do things on their own. Ready or not. If you have lead by example then it should be pretty easy for them to take over. Time will tell.
It is difficult to step back. It is like being in the driver's seat, then moving into the passenger seat. It is an uneasy feeling. I do not feel like I have finished my journey and prepared him enough for taking over. But he must.
