Empty nest beginning
Officially he is now on his own in the adult world. He has his own apartment. This is still the house where he grew up, but it is not his home. All that is left is an empty spot where is car used to be.
Although I am happy that everything is going well for him, there is a small empty spot in my heart that misses him. The transition from college life to real life is not much different. Being so far away, I do not worry. Thank heavens for today's technology, it is much easier to stay in touch.
