Gardening Roots


Such pleasure is derived from sticking a plant in the ground. Perhaps it is because I know that it will grow and be productive. It is cyclical. Every year you get another chance to experiment and be successful.

Babci's house

Coming from a farming background, I guess gardening is in my blood. Each time I go by Babci's (grandmother) house, it brings back memories of chickens, cows, playing in the barn the wood stove. She grew broadleaf tobacco until the flood of 1955 took away her tobacco shed. She had a small garden close to the house.
