Time to eat the Pączki
Pączki are not your typical doughnuts. They are larger, richer, eggy, chewy, and have a variety of fillings. In my recent travels, I have had the sinful pleasure of sampling various pączki. Among my favorite was a raspberry-rose paczek.
My cholesterol level is probably not good, but these sweet treats are not available once lent starts.

I don't like them, they're just glorified doughnuts LOL. Ick. But since you enjoy them, I sure hope you enjoyed them LOL.
Nina - I found some made at local Polish bakery and others were purchased at delis that had brought the paczki in from a New York bakery. If I can get more info I will let you know.
Kat- Some I enjoyed sother were disappointing. This is an occasional thing, usually I stay clear of fried food stuff.
