Neighborhoods
Remember when we would go to certain areas of a town and it would be the Polish, Italian, or Irish neighborhoods. It seems that with time these neighborhoods are dissolving. Gone are the little shops we used to visit. The young have moved on and moved out and blended into the non-descript suburbs with the malls. The city has nothing to offer them. So the neighborhoods fade off into history.
On the internet new communities are springing up. You can find a place to belong of all types. College students, retired folks, teens, mothers… everyone can find kindred spirits on the web.
These new neighborhoods are different; they are not bordered by town or city lines, rail lines, streets or rivers. These communities only have one border which is if you do not have a connection to the internet.
So look to the future or get left behind in the dust of what has been.
